Operating Principle of Piston Vacuum Pumps:
In piston vacuum pumps, one or more pistons move reciprocally in cylinders, similar to a combustion engine. During the downward stroke, gas is drawn in through an inlet valve; during the upward stroke, it is compressed and expelled through an outlet valve. Oil serves for sealing, lubrication, and cooling of the moving parts. The two-stage design (DK series) uses two pistons in series for deeper ultimate vacuum.
